Isolation. Internet. Things that start with the letter "i"

In the Sunday Times review of books John Lanchester reviews Lee Siegel's new book, Against The Machine: Being Human in the Age of the Electronic Mob. Siegel sees the Internet as “the first social environment to serve the needs of the isolated, elevated, asocial individual.” Be interesting to see what V. Heffernan thinks. She's got a killer piece on her 'Wired Youth' in her column from the Times mag and her magazine blog. Brilliant writing, good reading there.
